Crop School Reception

Chester, MD (October 23, 2024) – The Mid-Atlantic Certified Crop Advisers are honored to host the second annual Crop School Reception during the 2024 Mid-Atlantic Crop Management School! When you register for Crop School, be sure to add the Wednesday night reception to your registration, free of charge! The reception is open to all Crop School attendees, and we welcome everyone to enjoy heavy appetizers and drinks, with a small presentation from the Mid-Atlantic Certified Crop Advisers. New this year, the Mid Atlantic CCAs are excited to recognize 10-, 20- and 30-year advisers for their hard work and commitment to the program. Seats are limited! This year’s reception will be held at Thompson Island Brewing Company (30133 Veterans Way, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971) and will begin at 6:15 PM. Transportation to and from the reception will be on your own. The 2024 Mid-Atlantic Crop School will take place November 19th through 21st at Princess Royale in Ocean City, Maryland. Registration is currently live and can be accessed here. The early bird discount will close on October 25th and regular registration will close on November 8th. This year, Crop School is excited to welcome Andy Knepp from Corteva Agriscience and a CCA to share results of a comprehensive CCA survey that was executed by the American Society of Agronomy in 2024 to capture and better address the needs of CCAs across the country. We have a number of University Extension Specialists and USDA Agricultural Researchers from across the country scheduled to present the latest agronomic research.

The Mid-Atlantic Certified Crop Adviser (MACCA) Board administers the Certified Crop Adviser (CCA) program for Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Virginia, and West Virginia. The MACCA program is administered by the regional board in association with the American Society of Agronomy, which handles similar programs for specialists in agronomy, crop consulting, weed science, and other agricultural disciples.
